How to write an apprenticeship CV in the UK (2026 template)

A working template for a UK apprenticeship CV in 2026 — with the sections employers actually read, real examples and the mistakes that cost interviews.

Most apprenticeship CVs are rejected in under 30 seconds — not because of the candidate, but because the format buries the good bits. Here's the 2026 template that works.

The order that gets read

Name → one-line pitch → key skills → work/volunteering → education → interests. Never lead with education for apprenticeships — lead with capability.

One-line pitch example

"Year-13 student in Taunton with two paid social projects live on Instagram and a Level 3 Business BTEC (D*)."

What to skip

Photos, addresses, "references available on request", generic hobbies. All wasted space.
