The Taunton Apprenticeship Evening 2027 is the biggest free apprenticeship event in Somerset, hosted at Queen's College, Taunton on Tuesday 9th March 2027. I'm Jack Frampton, I work in marketing at Queen's and I help run the night. This is the full guide.
What the evening is
One room, one night, every route into work-based learning in Somerset: employers, training providers, current apprentices and an honest panel. Free entry, free refreshments, free LinkedIn headshots. See what to expect on the night.
Who should come
Year 10 to Year 13 students, sixth formers weighing up UCAS against apprenticeships, parents, and career changers. Independent school, state school, college - it doesn't matter which. The event is open to all of Somerset, not just Queen's College, Taunton pupils.
Exhibitors and providers
Expect stands from Somerset employers alongside Bridgwater & Taunton College and University Centre Somerset (UCS), plus degree apprenticeship routes listed on UCAS apprenticeships and live vacancies on Find an Apprenticeship (GOV.UK).
How to prepare
- Write five questions before you arrive.
- Bring a one-page CV, even a rough one.
