Jack Frampton: why I built the Taunton Apprenticeship Evening

I'm Jack Frampton. I work in marketing at Queen's College, Taunton and I run the Taunton Apprenticeship Evening. I built it because my own start was messier than anyone tells you it will be.
One of 150
I applied to Queen's alongside around 150 other people. A phone call, then an in-person interview, then the offer. Nothing about it was luck - it was preparation and being specific about what I could actually do.
The apprenticeship I left
Before Queen's I started a different apprenticeship and left after a month. It wasn't for me, and I wasn't educated or supported enough with real knowledge. That experience is exactly why the evening exists.
What the evening fixes
Honest panels instead of brochures. Employers who name the salary. Current apprentices who'll tell you the bad weeks. Free LinkedIn headshots so students leave with something usable.
